ALOHA UTOPIA - My Day at the Punk Rock Flea Market 2011

Below are some pics I snapped real quick throughout our (myself and Jennifer Gin's) day at this year's Punk Rock Flea Market, graciously put on by R5 Productions. We debuted our new prints for our collaborative project entitled ALOHA UTOPIA (we just launched a new tumblr for it!)

We arrive and find that our table number is 69, I find this hilarious, Jen not so much.

Our walls are up and securely clamped to the table, Jen starts to set up and hang our prints. The big orange one she is holding is really awesome. (better pic here)

Craziness, I saw and talked to a lot of people. Thanks to everybody who came by and bought something, was hyped on our table, or just said hello real quick. All in all it was a crazy day, definitely one to remember.

I'm excited to announce that I will be debuting a new set of collaborative prints at this year's Punk Rock Flea Market, put on every year by the amazing R5 productions. I have been drawing and collaborating steadily with my friend Jen Gin on some drawings, for a project we are calling ALOHA UTOPIA! The Punk Rock Flea Market will be held in a warehouse across the street from the Starlight Ballroom (exact address is 461 n. 9th street) on December 11th (Sunday) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. I think its like $3 to get in.

Below is what we have to say about it so far:

"Hello/Goodbye from the most horrific/wonderful place on earth, one that can only be felt by the mind’s eye. A place so intrinsically ridiculous it defies all form of reality, and whether or not it exists is uncertain.

Aloha Utopia is a collection of prints by Jen Gin and Bradford Haubrich that embody the creative spirit, striking a balance between complete nonsense and perfect understanding. Enjoy walking the line between this/that with us.

Above are the new paintings created for a window display in the "Window on Broad" at the Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery in the University of the Arts. As I was working on these pieces I wound up focusing more on the build up of materials and mediums to get these pieces to a finished state. This made the surface of the paintings much more textural, which I found interesting.

"The End of Daze" window installation

I am very excited to announce that I will creating a new installation for my alma mater The University of the Arts. The installation will be up from October 15, 2011 to November 15, 2011 and is located at 320 South Broad Street (pretty much Broad and Pine) on the East side of the street in front the infamous Anderson Hall (home to my beloved illustration department that I graduated from).

It is entitled "The End of Daze" (based of a previous painting) heres the blurb from the promo card that I wrote:

“The End of Daze” is an installation created specifically for the Window on Broad, in association with the Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery at The University of the Arts. This new environment, created by South Philadephia based artist Bradford Haubrich, intends to address the impending doom predicted for our Mother Earth, as well as its inhabitants, and how we may survive such trauma. Here the on-going visual narrative created by the artist, which references rely upon the duality and balance of the man-made, naturally-occuring, masculine, feminine, old, and new, set the stage for this installation. Please enjoy these new works and structures.

The opening of "The Skull, The Bottle, The Flower, The Mountain" was a huge success, and had a great turnout. I would like to personally thank all of the members of Part Time Studios for making this show possible, and everybody that came out. Additionally I would also like to thank Dewey Saunders, Bethany Casperite, Dietrich Meyer, Brian Kelly, Kate Arillo, Sheldon Abba, and Matty Gribben for helping me with the install/wall murals, making t-shirts, zines, etc. THANKS!!!

AWAYS walk around one of your openings with an open box of chicken supreme nachos (preferrably from Que Chula Es Puebla, if possible) I never realized how many friends I had. Anthony Pedro agrees.

In the back studio space all of the participating members of Part Time also had prints and paintings for sale. It was interesting to see everybody's personal workspace.

I am pleased to announce that I will be releasing a limited run t-shirt graphic (shown above) through the generous support of my friends Sheldon and Matt of AUF. The shirt was inspired by a painting that I had made for a previous installation entitled "Melt. Down." In total there will only be 24 shirts available, 12 white 12 black, and once they're gone I'm pretty sure they're gone forever. I am excited to announce a two-person show I will be in this first Friday, September the 2nd at the one and only Part Time Studios (2031 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, PA) with my good friend Dewey Saunders. The show is entitled "The Skull, The Bottle, The Flower, The Mountain" and is based around four collaborative pieces that represent these things. The above promotional image was a collaboration between myself and Dewey, and includes actual photographs of the four collaborative pieces before we started painting them. Here is the promotional blurb on the back of the card:

Miraculously drawn together by the almighty powers of this universe, two Philadelphia-based artists have embarked on a collaborative journey. A timeless journey in which, like so many before it, the emphasis has been squarely rested upon the shoulders of an unpredictable process, as opposed to the fruits it may yield. Four objects have been chosen to set the stage for this adventure that will be coming to a brilliant end on Friday September 2nd at Part Time Studios (2031 Frankford Ave.)

BAM!POW! issue 2 drawings

Tomorrow the second issue of BAM!POW!, a zine put together by friend Kevin Wallace who is a part of the Chernobyl Arts Collective, will be released at Philamoca (531 n. 12th street, Philadelphia PA). I have contributed the three drawings above, there is also a great group show and some film/psychadelic art shows all put together by friends of mine. There is a ton of stuff to see and do tomorrow for first friday, but this event is definitely worth a look.

I am excited to finally announce a two person show I will be participating in this first Friday in June (the 3rd to be exact) at Cafe Lift called "(CON) TEXT: Artwork Based on the Written Word." I will be showing a handful of new paintings on the walls of this awesome brunch spot for the month of June, along with my friend Kristen Solecki who gave me this awesome opportunity. (Thanks again Kristen!!). The opening exhibition is only two hours, from 7 - 9 pm, on June 3rd but the paintings will be up for the whole month. I highly recommend going there to get some food, and you know look at paintings.

Where it Begins, Where it Ends

I am very excited to announce that I will be putting together a group show at South Philly's beloved My House Gallery, with the help of Aidan Rich and Jim Grilli, for the month of May. The My House Gallery is a space that has always interested me due to its unique location, on 8th street just south Porter as illustrated above, and because it is literally the town house that the dedicated folks who run the gallery live in. I was originally supposed to do an installation utilizing the entire first-floor gallery space, however; I was thrown a few curve balls in my personal life, and did not think that I could get it together in time for a full-scale install. So instead of a solo venture I chose to invite some friends, whose work I admire, to participate in a group show.

The idea behind this group exhibition is to highlight the creative breadth of the participating artists, giving the viewer a more intimate look at the unique personalities and processes of each person. We (me, Aidan, and Jim) are encouraging artists to show a range of pieces and drawings from daily doodles on up to finished pieces. Below is the list of participants, and why I'm psyched on their work:

I have been a fan of Adrienne's intrinsically feminine line quality and color palette's (of course I mean that in the best way possible) from the first time that I became acquainted with her paintings. Her work has this softness to it that I really appreciate, and also she's the pattern queen, both in her work and her wardrobe.

Aidan is nice dude, plain and simple. He doesn't have a crazy client list, or some insane process, he just draws, paints, and does what he wants. I like that alot. He also drew this weirdly awesome tour poster for the amazing Arrah and the Ferns/Armchairs tour (so jealous.) check that out here.

Kris Chau

Ms. Chau's work has been popular with Philadelphian's for years. Her portraits of people, both real and imagined, all have a very loose and energetic quality to them that are very much within the same visual language. Drawing people in a cool way is something that has always thrown me for a loop, but Kris has it dialed. She also has a show on First Friday of May called "Can't Look Away" at the Reward Project (I checked the website and it looks like a real hip boutique for strictly babes, which = awesome) with all new work. So busy!

If these Philadelphia organizations are at all foreign to you, then I seriously suggest you take a second out of your supposedly busy schedule to check out Matty's portfolio, and then ask yourself "What if I did regular design work for these people, on top of other freelance clients, and then decided to go back to school to nail down my design principles and be the best design dude I could possibly be, while simultaneously playing/performing in multiple sludge/stoner metal bands?" Welcome to Matt's life. His work is great.

Leah Mackin

I had Leah's work in mind from the beginning. She has been doing these awesome graphite drawings with subtle value changes and details pressed into the paper with a bone folder that are both simple and elegant. To me her artwork is very direct: minimal tools and mediums with maximum creativity and expression.

Steve Streisguth

Mr. Streisguth, and his work, always keep me guessing. I know for a fact he could draw or paint anything that he wants, but he seems fixated on crazy swirls, concentric shapes, and fluid mark making. I couldn't tell you what Steve will be exhibiting even if I wanted to, but you can bet it will cool.

Ground Up Presents: UP LATE (a case study)

I recently completed a very interesting and eye opening illustration project for local rap dudes Ground Up. The project called for album artwork and some web banners to be used for their latest mixtape "Up Late" (actually released today April 5th, 2011). The guys contacted me out of the blue, and had a very high level of enthusiasm for my work from the get go. At first I was a little nervous to work with artists in this genre of music because I wasn't quite sure if my art could fit in with their sound. Once I did some research, and extensive listening to past mixtape efforts such as "Girls Who Smoke Cigarettes" and "Higher Ground" my gut feeling changed and I felt that I could effectively collaborate with these guys to create something that everybody liked.

I've also never really shared my collaboration process for client work with the internet, and figured that this project in particular would be a good case study to direct prospective clients to in the future. So above I also posted the first two rounds of black and white concept sketches, the color sketches, and then of course the final product. This was a unique project because of the high level on client input, and also because the project took on a completely new theme half way through, which then led to another round of "Late Night Talk Show" themed concept sketches.

All in All I am happy with how the artwork turned out, I tried some new things with the computer and I think the result turned out a little slicker than usual. You never know when change is gonna come. A BIG thank you to: Malcolm, Al, Bij, Jon, Frank, and the rest of the Ground Up crew for initially contacting me and then turning this into such a memorable project.

Melt. Down. Snowmelt Three

As the month of March draws to a close, we can feel spring approaching in our bones, in our minds, and in the air. The large tree sculpture has completely melted away its snowy edifice, and we see that the only remnants of this past cold season are the puddles on the floor. The flowers continue to bloom, as time marches on ... (sorry for the reflection on the window)

Burly Breakfast

Sometimes after a long Saturday night, you wake up with one thing on your mind (or at least I do) "Where can I get the most filling and hearty breakfast imaginable??" This thought is then followed by the inevitable phone call(s) to the various members of your crew, to get a consensus on where this trough of food may be purchased at the most competitive price. Usually the answer is Honey's or even the Penrose Diner, however; yesterday I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Now I do not necessarily think of myself as a gifted chef by any means, but after I had completed this epic breakfast I felt a certain sense of pride. Like a farmer who just won the "(insert-mid-western-state-here) state fair" with a 400 lb. Pig/Chicken crossbreed, I was proud, in awe of, and a little startled by the plate of food that I had created. And the best was still to come, duh, the consumption.

Pictured above is my most recent breakfast/brunch plate of food that I felt compelled to share:

Two Eggs

- fried w/ ketchup and hot sauce

Three Pieces of Scrapple

- Habbersett brand, Philadeplhia's favorite since 1863, I keep the pieces thin and cook 'em crispy, strictly hot sauce!

Cheddar Biscuits w/ Cream Chipped Beef

- Biscuits had extra sharp cheddar, and I added some mayo to the mix to make them extra fluffy, Cream Chipped Beef added that salt I was in dire need of.

and to wash it all down a Yuengling Bock Beer - an amazing seasonal dark lager that tastes like half original lager and half porter, not too heavy not too light

This was a doozy for sure, needless to say I did not even attempt to go skateboarding after this, just kicked it and enjoyed my first free Sunday a few months. cheers!

Melt. Down. Snowmelt Two

It's getting pretty warm in the greater Philadelphia area, as the temperature steadily increases we see the snow continue to melt off the tree sculpture. Flowers are still blooming on the walls, and we begin to see puddles form on the floor of the installation.

WEST SIDE FLOWER DRUM SONG STORY

I've been pretty busy with a few projects lately, but when asked to participate in this interesting group show I couldn't decline. The show is called RECOVER, and basically I got to pick a vintage record sleeve to do whatever I wanted with (You can view all of the record sleeves they had, and who claimed which ones on TrickGo's flickr). The record sleeve that I chose was a split LP with songs from the musical "West Side Story" and "Flower Drum Song". I chose the sleeve because the buildings on it looked like something I might paint or make, so including the actual artwork would appear seamless. I wound up combining the building and pagoda shapes (hence the title), and I also pasted the text from the record sleeve on the back, rearranged to read as the title. Information about the piece is below:

"Melt. Down." a melting art installation

I am excited to announce my first big project of 2011. It is a self-initiated installation and collection of new works entitled "Melt. Down." The installation will be on display from March 7th to April 4th and will be changing/melting as the weather warms up and we get closer to spring time. "Melt. Down." will be installed in the front window of a large house (that many of my friends live in) on 9th and Catherine in South Philadelphia. This project intrigued me because it requires me to build-out gallery walls in the window display pictured above. To further complicate matters all artwork and materials for the gallery walls must be small enough to fit through the door to the window display, which is about 2' by 3.5 ' (as pictured above, represented by the pink box in the middle of the schematic). This should be interesting ...

Stay tuned for more information and install pictures as the opening date gets closer.

Also pictured above is the promotional card that I designed, as well as a google map screen shot of the exact location of the house.

"ROLLD Bones" for The Age of Reptiles group show

As overheard while in line at Ricci's deli/hoagie spot on 11th and Annin: "Dis time those South Philly skate punks have gone too friggin' far! I can't believe they had to balls to defile and re-arrange those sacred dinosaur bones. I had heard about that burial ground down there on Darien and Snyder, but even as young butt head I never dared lift that man hole, much less party down there and leave my beer cans!!!! Kids these days, no friggin' respect for nuthin."

Happy New Year! Above are two recent things I drew for two Philadelphia-based websites. The top is a t-shirt graphic, which will unfortunately not be printed, for Philly.com to commemorate the most epic pitching rotation in the history of baseball. The second drawing is a "Top 5" list I put together for my friend Leah at Phrequency. I went to the Barbary once this past year for my friend Yis' birthday, it was really crazy, and I saw many crazy people (or at least I thought I saw people with hair cuts similar to this, though I do have an over-active imagination, extremely poor vision, and that night is a total blur, tough call).

"The Century Plant" short film!!

Above is a short film about "The Century Plant" my most recent installation at The Paradigm Gallery in Philadelphia, PA. It was filmed and edited by my extremely talented and dedicated friend Ian Mosley-Duffy. My friend/budding local journalist Kaitlyn Arillo also interviewed for the film, and the result is an amazing dialogue that is what makes this piece so special to me. I basically discuss some of my mental process, and how I came up with the concept. Please enjoy.

Backwords Poster for their residency at the Cake Shop and Bruar Falls

I was recently commissioned to make a poster for my buddies Backwords up in Brooklyn. This time around it is for their month-long Thursday night residency at The Cake Shop and Bruar Falls, in both Manhattan and Brooklyn respectively (I assume they're owned by the same people). The poster itself is based off of various textile designs from Peru and Mexico. I scanned my favorite sweater and used it as a subtle texture in the poster, as you can see in the detail shot above, to switch things up a bit.

The stickers will be given out at their 2 year birthday bash at the Vincent Michael Gallery on December 9th. Space 1026 Art Auction Donation

I recently donated one of my favorite pieces from "The Century Plant" to the Space 1026 Art Auction. For those that don't know, the art auction is a live event that occurs every year at Space, in which all the money goes to benefit this Philadelphia institution. I am extremely proud to donate "The Eagle King" to this year's auction, and look forward to the preview tomorrow night December 3rd from 7 pm - 10 pm. The auction will take place on December 10th doors open at 6, and the auction also begins at 7. Bidding starts at just $5!!

New Collaborative work for "Public School" at the Mast Head Print Studio

Whoa! It has been a pretty crazy month. Above is more new work, this time in the form of two collaborative pieces with my friend Dietrich Meyer. The pieces are for a group show called "Public School: a lesson in collaboration" at the Mast Head Print Studio in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. This is how the collaboration went: I hand-built both wood boxes, and coated/sealed them with an initial coat of paint. Then Dietrich came in and added some meticulously painted areas with acrylic paint, and I finished off the pieces with more paint and cut paper sections with layered media on it. I had alot of fun, and enjoyed the creative challenge of producing artwork with two distinct voices, definitely look out for more collaborations in the near future ...

The Century Plant Process and Opening Reception Pictures

Above are some photos from the install/opening reception of The Century Plant, all taken within the last week or so. For the show I built my own 9.5 foot version of The Century Plant, complete with watering can in the top to dispense my "Honey Water" Tequila mixture. For readers that might be unaware, The Century Plant is an agave plant common to the South West United States and Mexico that can grow up to 30 feet high. At the top of the plant is a large flower bud which produces a nectar that is rich in vitamins and nutrients, this nectar is also one of the main ingredients in Mezcal (a kind of Mexican tequila). My reasoning behind basing the installation on this plant was two-fold: 1) The Century Plant takes as much time for its flower to bloom, as it took me to grow up into the person that I am today, and create this body of work (25 years). 2) The most interesting aspect of the space at Gallery is the 10.5 foot ceilings, so I figured I would build something tall to utilize that.

How the West was Fun

I spent the beginning of this month in the beautiful state of Montana with my family visiting both Glacier National and Yellowstone National Parks respectively. My Dad asked me to make a shirt for the family, and of course I complied (when he says jump ...) above is the drawing that I did for the shirt, as well as some pictures of the shirt and our trip. I worked on this shirt ahead of time with my Dad, the goal was to make something that everyone liked from the kids to the adults, and also include some of the sights that we would be seeing along the way. Some of these that I put into the drawing are: the Roosevelt Arch, Going to the Sun Road, Granite Peak Mtn. of Glacier National, and also some geysers.

Dirty issue 1

My friend Pat told me about this project that he was curating a few months ago in conjunction with the rad folks over at Fireball Printing and Pterodactyl Philadelphia (they have studio spaces, teach art classes, etc.) That project we spoke about is the first issue of the magazine above called "Dirty." Basically Pat let me do whatever I wanted, so I took the opportunity to do some new work on the computer. The first image(s) is the cover, Pat gave me a few phrases to visually react to, and in the end I chose to respond to "all art, no ads" I thought it would be a appropriate to make a composition-less piece that is all "art" like a consistent motion or stream of color and lines. The second image is entitled "Midnight in the Garden" and the third is entitled "Family." I really like how these turned out, and hope you enjoy them as well. Thanks.

All Hands on Deck

I was invited to participate in the "All Hands on Deck" show at the Chapter House by my friend Anthony Pedro. The opening reception is this Friday, July 9th at 7 pm. My piece is shown above and is titled "The Severed Hand of Davy Jones" (and it is literally a hand on a deck) it measures 9" x 13" x 2" and is mixed media. Made In America : A Native Exhibition

Over the past couple of months I have had the pleasure of working with my friends Yis and Leah to put together easily the largest group show that I have ever been a part of. "Made In America: A Native Exhibition" features over forty artists/friends all contributing work loosely based on this interesting country of ours. We chose this theme because we wanted something culturally relevant, yet broad enough for folks to have varied reactions and through their respective media. The opening reception will take place on June 4th at the TRUST Gallery (formerly the F.U.E.L. Collection, and the Real World Philadelphia house before that) and will go from 6 -10 pm. There will be live performances by: Dragonzord, Tigersapien, and Univox!

Usha Veda Yoga

Pictured above is a logo and poster that I completed for Usha Veda Yoga, a yoga studio in Brooklyn, New York (Green Point to be exact). The client came to me with a pretty fleshed out idea of how they wanted their logo to look, and then they let me do my thing with the poster (yesssss). The poster was for a mother's day event celebrating the opening of Usha Veda Yoga as well as a new coffee shop in the neighborhood called Milk and Roses. The new aforementioned cafe has a really cool baby grand piano, which is where the inspiration came from for the piano in the poster. Below are some links about each of the stores/event:

PAPER BLOG - keds to be raffled off

I am very excited to unveil these one-off Keds that I produced specifically to be raffled off at PAPER BLOG on March 19th. The pattern on these Keds is one that I had been working on for a little while, it is what the internet looks like to me, a more colorful version of binary code if you will (or something like that). Anyways, the original pattern can be seen on my flickr photo stream HERE, and though the maroon did print very light on the Keds I think that it still looks great and would be a really sharp summer shoe. Oh yeah, and the shoes are size 8.5 in Women's, and I got these printed at Zazzle.com. Thanks.

Above is the result of my second collaborative project with Oscar Productions. This go around myself and oscar productions created a short animation for Chef Ann and her website www.thelunchbox.org. Chef Ann's mission is to get healthy food into our school's lunchrooms across America, along with educating parents, teachers, and kids about the many dangers of a bad diet. This animation is also being circulated to raise awareness of the National School Lunch Act, which congress will be voting on sometime in the coming year. I am extremely proud to have produced artwork for this animation, and I would like thank Ian and Pete at Oscar Productions, and Brent Williams of WMG/Black Spider.

I will be posting updates concerning any breaking news of the National School Lunch Act, so be sure to check back. Thanks again.

The Hype Cycle (highsnobiety.com x me)

Over the summer I started working on an editorial project for the mens clothing / street wear blog highsnobiety.com that was just published on their website today. The project consisted of one large illustration and eight spots, ultimately put together in the layout above and included in the article. They both illustrate the cycle of how vintage style sneakers go from worshiped to buried to re-discovered and then of course re-hyped on blogs. SESSIONS art work (a collaboration with Oscar Productions)

Over the summer I had an amazing opportunity to work with Oscar Productions, a brand spanking new film production company out of Philadelphia, to concept and create original art work for the pilot episode of their reality show SESSIONS, created by Will Lampe. Each week SESSIONS focuses on a different band, and the trials and tribulations that go along with professionally recording their music. The recording takes place in Sine Studios, owned by Matt and Mike (don't know their respective last names but they're great dudes). This project was really long, but I learned a ton about animation, and had a really great time. It was really interesting to work with the team to create a visual identity for the show, and of course I got to do ALL of the lettering. Above are some of my favorite pieces of art work and lettering that I created for the show, and also a video of all the animation. Enjoy!!

Sun Giant

"Sun Giant" is a visual interpretation of a song that shares the same name by the The Fleet Foxes. The video below is of their Take Away Show that actually includes two songs, the first being Sun Giant (actually the first two minutes of the video). This image of the sun chanting as his beard fell to the ground always popped into my head whenever I would hear this song, so I felt compelled to make it into a picture. I started this over the summer as an experiment, with the hopes of combining textures and line work, as well as working with some new techniques to introduce into my digital work. It was extremely refreshing.

I have two editions of hand colored digital prints for sale at TrickGo boutique in center city Philadelphia. TrickGo recently opened it doors on the Friday, September the 18th, and I am proud to have some products on its shelves. Each image is in an edition of 15 and is a hand-colored digital print on bright white water color paper. I believe they may add these prints to their online shop soon, check back for updates.

I recently finished my very first vinyl toy customization for my good friend Yis, who is having a release party for his very own vinyl figure. The release party/opening will be at the new location for Jinxed at the Piazza up in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. I know that Yis will be doing an installation in the store, and he has also asked many other awesome folks to customize his new figure as well. Should be a great event.

My friend Brian Kelly has really been helping out with my website, and I wanted to compensate him fairly. So I gave him a rock. I wheat pasted a drawing that I did on vellum onto said rock, which I found one time when I went tubing. I am pretty sure he likes it, after all it does make for a really good paper weight.

Indigenous Typeface

This is a typeface that I had floating in my head for awhile, it's called "Indigenous." It's inspired by a book that I saw in Maine one time called "Indian Magic." Anyways, I did this layout for The New Kids on the Block, an art show for recent graduates of the illustration department at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.

This was a piece that I started in the tail-end of winter, in anticipation for warmer weather, and just got around to finishing. With "Up Out of Winter" I aimed to record a profound moment in the life of this particular flower.

Me and my good friend Chris Arizzi recently wrapped up the Urban Outfiiters Benefits Newsletter for 2009. We were able to work on this project through our jobs at 168 Design, and it was a really enjoyable experience. Yup, this was a good one.

Bike to Work Week/Month, Columbus, OH

I was contacted way back in December/November of 2008, by the good folks at http://b2ww.org/columbus to do some artwork for their "Bike to Work Week" event(s) for the month of May. Originally we had planned on doing a poster, a t-shirt, and a spoke card; however, the project got chopped down to just the spoke card, which you see above. I wanted to post this because I am not actually sure if these were produced or not, but I really liked how it turned out regardless.

*side note: they actually contacted me because they liked the bike in my desktop wallpaper I did for Bobby Solomon's awesome blog Kitsune Noir.

Q BBQ & Tequila, is a restaurant that recently opened on 2nd and Chestnut in Philadelphia PA. Above is the menu, which I illustrated and also collaborated on the design with Leah Napolitano of 168 design. The artwork was then used for their homepage/website, designed by Lee Kernke, also of 168 Design. You should stop by and try their pulled pork sandwich, it's really really good.
